The British People’s Alliance is delighted to announce its second parliamentary candidate, in addition to David Lindsay at Durham North-West. He is Neil Clark at Wantage, against the leading neoconservative warmonger Ed Vaizey.
Neil is a 41-year-old journalist and writer. He is a regular contributor to The Guardian, The Australian, The First Post, Morning Star, New Statesman, The Spectator, R.F.O. and Daily Express. His work has also appeared in The Fleet Street Letter, Daily Mail, Daily Telegraph, The Times and in publications as diverse as The American Conservative, Pravda and The Racing Post. Why hasn't Neil Clark mentioned this on his blog? I posted a congratulatory comment under one of his posts, and he refused to publish it, while publishing other comments left after mine. Are you sure he's really doing it?
ReplyDeleteYou'd have to ask him. He links here and is a regular reader. It was he who first suggested to me that he take on Vaizey, and he is very keen to do so. The press release announcing this was duly copied to him. So why he hasn't blogged about it, who knows? Well, he does. But I don't.

ReplyDeleteThe best thing for you to do is probably to get in touch with the local media in Wantage. It's bound to be something they'd cover.
Incidentally, are the local media where you live covering your candidacy, or the party launch? Quite a coup, having a national party leader in their patch, I'd have thought. But google doesn't bring up any relevant results. I should call them, if you haven't already.
He's just doing things his way - he is there on the ground, after all. But standing there was his idea, and be in no doubt that he's well and truly up for it.
ReplyDeleteContacting the media in Wantage is obviously Neil's department. Meanwhile, I will be spending much of today looking up the local papers in all the other Jacksonite-Eustonite occupied constituencies, with a view to sending out an appeal for candidates.
