Symbolically Speaking

With the removal of Britannia from our fifty pence pieces, can anyone suggest a suitable symbol of today’s Britain to replace her?

    I've always thought that she should be on British editions of the Euro, should there ever be such monstrosities. After all, she signed the Single European Act.
