It is perfectly
clear: if a Prime Minister cannot persuade the House of Commons that he
would be right to exercise the Royal Prerogative to take this country
to war, then he has lost the confidence of that House in him as Prime
Minister.
He ought therefore to resign.
That this particular Prime
Minister recalled Parliament for this, is just a bonus.
