They Do Things Differently There

Not to say, "a nation, not a city." Look it up. I am not doing everything for you.

One third of the Labour Party's members live in London.

But what a shambles the London Labour Party is, certainly when viewed from the North.

Besides, and nominally beside, those who have campaigned for Boris Johnson twice in a row, is Ken Livingstone himself, who has now endorsed Lutfur Rahman twice in a row.

Dan Hodges eventually left over Syria, but neither he nor anyone else has ever been expelled over their support for Johnson.

And two years after his first endorsement of Rahman, Livingstone topped the poll in the constituency section of the National Executive Committee, the section elected by "ordinary members".

Topped the poll.

He is easily on course to do so again this year.

After all, one third of the Labour Party's members live in London.

But what a shambles the London Labour Party is, certainly when viewed from the North.

  1. Looks like you are still sore, maybe you have good cause to be. Livingstone was let back in a year before he was eligible and immediately made Labour candidate for his own job. You are right about him and Rahman. You are right about all those Blairite commentators and Boris. Closer to home people who campaigned successfully in Consett North to replace a Labour portfolio holder well known to you with an ex-Labour Independent well known to you have not only kept party membership but kept it for free because they have been in for more than 50 years. You are treated totally different from anyone else, you always have been.
