Surveillance Points

The surveillance laws in France are considerably more draconian than those in Britain. Tightening the latter would solve nothing.

And Lord Falconer, who was drafted in as Shadow Justice Secretary because Sadiq Khan was standing for Mayor of London instead, is becoming a thorough nuisance.

He should either fall in behind the defence of civil liberties in this country, and a negotiated settlement in Syria, or he should make way for someone who would.

  1. They will be tightened, though. Meanwhile our borders will remain wide open and new terrorists-like the two who came to France via Greece-will continue coming.

Mass immigration was always going to destroy our civil liberties in the end.

Thanks to the fact we don't have ID cards (something Im immensely proud of) it's easier for an immigrant to dissapear under the radar here than anywhere else.

We'll bring them in soon, too.

    1. Funny how we do not even make the top five European destinations for either migrants or refugees as it is, then. In view of our size, that is quite remarkable.

And funny that recent events have happened in France, not here.

What "open borders"? We do not have open borders. Nowhere does. I was once told that a South American country (it may have been Paraguay, but I cannot remember off hand) once did. But it does not have them now, and nowhere else has ever had them. Ever.

Not, apparently, that anyone much would want to come here even if we did.
