Why Richard Leonard?

Because, as the signatories to this understand, he offers the chance, at long last, to make the Scottish debate, not about the question of independence, but about the abject failures of both the Conservatives and the SNP in relation to the causes and effects of economic inequality. Thereby, as much as anything else, exposing the bizarre claim of the SNP, as a party, to be any part of the Left.

Notice that this kind of thing would be incomplete without the signature of Harry Leslie Smith, and would still be considered so without that of a representative of the Durham Miners' Association. The first will obtain for the rest of Harry's life, and the second will obtain forever. The bitter cultists of what remains of anti-Corbyn Labour will never, ever, ever understand.
